A Yoga Alliance–approved continuing education workshop focused on hands-on assists, intelligent sequencing, and thematic development. Designed to help yoga teachers refine their teaching methodology, build confidence, and create more cohesive, intentional classes.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  • Practice offering hands-on assists that are safe, effective, and rooted in consent and awareness
  • Understand how to integrate assists seamlessly in any class
  • Apply principles of intelligent sequencing to create cohesive, purposeful classes
  • Develop and refine thematic language that supports student engagement and embodiment
  • Strengthen teaching confidence through practice, observation, and feedback

Course Description

This continuing education workshop is designed to support yoga teachers in refining their teaching methodology through skillful hands-on assists, intelligent sequencing, and intentional thematic development.

Teachers will explore how to safely and effectively integrate hands-on assists to support student awareness, stability, and embodiment, while honoring consent and individual variability. Through lectures, demonstrations, practice teaching, and peer feedback, participants will deepen their understanding of when, why, and how to assist in a well-structured class.

The workshop also emphasizes intelligent sequencing principles, including peak-pose preparation, energetic pacing, and progressive skill-building, as well as the art of weaving clear, accessible themes that enhance student experience.

By the end of this training, teachers will feel more confident designing cohesive classes, offering purposeful hands-on assists, and teaching with greater clarity, presence, and intention.

This training qualifies for 8 Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours under Teaching Methodology.
